School photography can be greatly varied, from shooting images of students and staff at work and play to portraits and location photography. Educational photographer Stephen Shepherd was recently asked to create a body of images for Chiltern Edge School. The photographs were to be used for internal posters, website and marketing collateral. One of the images that was required was a great shot of pupils involved in a science lesson. Luckily for us the tutor was very accommodating in setting up an experiment where pupils could set fire to a tub of gas filled bubbles. This created great set of photos with pupils faces really animated as they enjoyed the “explosion” as the gas was ignited.
